The training will be an in-depth case study of Tiago Pereira Cardoso’s (#42) development — from the moment he was first spotted in the U14 category, through the subsequent stages of training, up to his debut in the Bundesliga. Participants will learn about the detailed process of planning a young goalkeeper’s career, including scouting, training organization, and cooperation within the coaching staff.
Marcin Skowronek will also discuss training priorities at the professional level as well as methods of guiding young players through the crucial transition to senior football.

Marcin Skowronek is an experienced goalkeeping coach with a rich background gained on German football pitches. He began his coaching career at Viktoria Köln in 2017. Over five years, he worked his way up the club’s ranks from the U10 to the U19 category. From 2020 to 2022, he also served as the club’s goalkeeping coordinator.
In July 2022, he joined Borussia Mönchengladbach, starting with the U16 team. He continues to work at the club to this day, currently with the U19 squad.
